教学目标
1.学生能够听懂和理解这个简单的故事。
2.学生能够就故事进行提问和回答。
3.学生能够分角色，并根据课文内容表演故事。
4.让学生体会友情，懂得动物也是人类的好朋友，要爱护动物。
学情分析
四年级的同学经过一年的学习，对英语学习的主动性都比较高，课堂参与度高，喜欢英语活动、游戏和表演。英语课堂应该从学生的生活习惯出发，让学生在玩中学，在教知识的同时又关注了学生的情感态度。整节课以学生的自主学习为主，让学生自己解决问题。教师从听说读写各方面锻炼了学生的综合语言运用能力。
重点难点
难点：学生分角色表演课文。
教学过程
Step 1 Pre-reading
T: Hello,, boys and girls. How are you today?
S:I’m fine, thanks. And you?

(二)、Review
1.Game
T: Do you want to play a game?
S: Yes.
T: Let's play “Act and Guess”.做“Act and Guess”游戏。一名学生上前面对同学们，老师在其身后出示短语卡片（put on my clothes/play catch with a ball/ throw
a ball/ fly a kite/ clean my bedroom\go to school），台下学生根据卡片做动作，这名学生猜短语。教师及时给与鼓励和表扬。
T: Are you happy?
S: Yes.
(设计意图：通过肢体动作轻松地回忆并表达所学过的短语，也让学生易于理解本课生词。）
2.Let’s say.
T:Now I can say, I brush my teeth in the morning. I go home in the afternoon.
I fly kites on Saturday. Can
you say? OK.I say, you say, let’s say.
S:仿照老师的例句造句。I …in the morning/ in the afternoon./ on Saturday.
T:Well,let’s look at the boy .What
does he do in the morning?
(设计意图：在复习前面所学的内容的同事时，引出新的话题。）
Step 2 Reading
（一）T: 依次出示故事前四幅图。He
brushes his teeth. What else can you see in the picture?
S:A dog.
T:This boy is John. His dog’s name is
Jack. 板书John and Jack. 并领读
T:John says, brush teeth. Jack says, woof, woof. John says, let’s go
home. Jack says,...
S: woof, woof...
T: OK. Let’s enjoy the story.
（设计意图：用有趣的小狗的叫声吸引学生注意力，并为导入后面的故事做铺垫。）
（二）播放故事前四幅图的视频。
1.Let’s read after the
CD.跟读故事
S:学生跟读。
T: Read again by yourselves, please.
2.S:学生大声自己读。
T: Who wants to read picture 1 for us. （图三男生读，图四女生读。）
T: After reading. Here are three questions.
(设计意图：跟读培养学生英语的语气、语调，变换方式阅读是为提高学生阅读能力和理解力。）
（三）学习故事后四幅图的视频。
1.T：What do they do on Saturday? Can you guess?
S:猜测……
T：出示故事图片5.Oh! They play catch with a ball.
T:What happens then? Look.
Try to number the four pictures.出示图6-8.
S:故事图片排序。
2.T: Are you right? Let’s check it.播放故事后四幅图片视频。
T: We are right. Now read after the

S:跟读故事后四幅图。并完成连线题。（Talk about in groups and match.）
3.T: Now read the whole story in groups , and complete the main idea together.
S:小组读故事并完成main idea。

Step 3 After Reading
1.T:Look, This is John. This is Jack. 出示各种道具，表演故事。将故事分为两个片段，学生可以自选片段。（设计意图：表演故事这一活动的设计旨在让学生进一步熟悉故事内容，巩固所学的语言形式，并学会创造性地运用本课所掌握的语言知识。）
2.知识拓展(看板书Do
you think John like Jack? Does Jack like John? Because they are good friends.)
T: Do you like John and Jack? Why?
S:学生自由发言。
T:Look at these pictures?依次领读动物名称。guide dog导盲犬 sniffer dog 搜救犬 police dog警犬 dolphin海豚 pigeon鸽子 Animals are our friends. They help us in many ways. They can bring us happiness. Animals are our friends, we should love them. 动物是我们的朋友，我们应该爱护他们。
