教学目标：
　　1、知识目标：学习国家“the U.K.”,以及英国的一些常识。
　　2、能力目标：能用英语向他人介绍有关英国的常识。
　　3、情感目标：激发学生对英语的持久兴趣，培养学生运用英语进行交际的能力，了解中西文化的差异。

学情分析：

学生前面已经学过关于中国、加拿大、美国这些国家的语言、首都、国旗、及有名的地方这些常识。本课对学生来讲是比较容易的。
教学重点、难点：能用简单的英语向他人介绍英国的语言、首都、国旗、及有名的地方。
　　教具准备：录音机、图片、多媒体课件
　　教学过程：

Step1：Let′s  do some review.
　　1、Time for dictation.

   (map   the U.S.   speak    English   capital city  flag

 Washington, D.C.    stars     white   blue)

　　2、Fill  in  the  blanks

a. This is a map of _______. （出示加拿大地图）

b. They speak _______ in the U.S

c. ____________ is the capital city of the U.S.（出示美国地图）

d. The flag of the U.S. is ______white and _______.

Step2： New Contents

1、Let′s learn some new words and sentences. 

T: This is a map of China.   Beijing is the capital city of China.

This is a map of the U.K.  London is the capital city of the U.K.

S：Say these sentences.

T: What is this?  It′s  a clock.

What is this? It′s Big Ben .

S:学生开火车读单词。

T: Where is Big Ben？

S: It is in London.

T:This is Big Ben. It has a very big clock.  It′s very famous.

S: 学生学说句子。

T: This is a king. This is a queen.　　

S: 学生学习单词。

T:Where do kings and queens live?　　(Buckingham  palace)

S: 学生学习单词和句子。

Step3：Read part 1 and answer the questions.

Four questions:

1、    What country is it ?

2、    What is the capital city of the U.K.?

3、    What do they speak in the U.K.?

4、    What colour is the flag of the U.K.?

Listen to tap recorder.

Step4：Let′s do some exercise.

1、    Match。

2、    Look and choose.

Step5：Talk about four countries in groups（出示中国、加拿大、英国、美国地图）

1、What  country  is  this?

2、What′s  the  capital  city  of _____?

3、What  do they/we speak  in ______?

4、What  colour is the flag  of _______?

Act out the dialogue.

Step6：Summary
