“How do you go to school ” 教学设计

Teaching tools: word cards, some pictures and a magic stick

Teacher of the class: Zhang Yufen , Dongying Primary School.

Teaching steps:

  Step 1. Greeting

        T: Good morning ,boys and girls.

  Step 2. Revision

        Review the transports by some word cards. Ask the students to read the word one by one.

Step 3. Lead to the new lesson.

        Practice a sentence by a guessing game .

        “ Is this a …?”

       ( bus / train / plane / car / bike / foot )

Step 4. Learn the new lesson.

        Show a picture of Dongying Primary School. Teach the students :

        ---How do you go to school?

---I go to school by bike .

Step 5. Chant.

        Make the Ss to chant and do actions at the same time.

Step 6. Conversation .

        Ask the Ss to make conversations with their partners.

        ---How do you go to school ?

 ---I go to school on foot.

---How do you go to school ?

 ---I go to school on foot.

……

T: We all go to school on foot ,because all of us live in Dongying and study in Dongying Primary School. We live near school, right?

Then take the Ss to have a trip to four new places

(Shijiazhuang— Beijing— Shanghai— England) by a magic stick. Next ,conversation again.

At the same time ,tell the Ss something about The Oriental Pearl TV Tower Of Shanghai and Big Ben .

大本钟，或大笨钟（Big Ben），是坐落在英国伦敦泰晤士河畔议会大厦的北面的一座钟楼，镶有大钟，名为“大本”。是伦敦的标志性建筑之一。1859年，大钟由当时的英王工务大臣本杰明?霍尔爵士监制，铸造时耗资2.7万英镑。钟楼高95米，钟直径9英尺，重13.5吨大钟共重 21吨，每15分钟响一次。每隔一小时，大钟根据格林威治时间发出沉重而铿锵的响声，在数英里之外也能听到钟声的回荡。

Step 7. Learn four new words  ( take ,ride ,drive ,walk)

       Ask the Ss to guess the meaning of the words. Play a guessing game .

       Read the phrases and sentences.

Step 8. Listening practice

       Listen and read the conversation , and try to repeat.

Step 9.Conversation time.

       Ask the Ss to try to repeat the conversation in groups.

  Step 10.Sum up .

       Chant.
