Topic :   “A walk in Beijing”   Lesson 10 of Book VI   <Learning English >

Type of class: new lesson

Key and difficult points:  

1复习表情形容词，并学习新的形容词 scared 害怕

   2掌握四会单词slow, slowly, quick, quickly , 并能正确使用四会单词造句。

   3 情感目标：培养学生学习英语的兴趣,增强自我保护的安全意识.

Teaching aids:  cards ,  power point software

Teaching Steps:

Step1    Greetings

   Listen to the music of the Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf . And show some pictures of the cartoon. Then review some words (happy , sad , tired , excited , surprised , angry ). Next, show a picture of Big Big Wolf and Hollie with a pan to learn the new word “ scared”

Step 2   Learn the new words: quick  , quickly  , slow , slowly

      Show a picture of Slow Sheep and ask the students:

“Will he run like this?” 

Ss: “ No!” 

Then show another picture of Pleasant Goat. He is in an airplane .

T: “ Will he run like this ?”

     Ss: “ Yes!”

     T: Why will he run like this ?”

     Ss: Because Slow Sheep is slow.

     T: And we also can say : He walks slowly.

     Then learn slow , slowly , quick, quickly  (板书)

Step 3   Chant to learn the words: quick , quickly , slow , slowly

      Quick , quick , I am quick .

      Quickly, quickly, walk quickly.

      Slow, slow, I am slow.

      Slowly, slowly, walk slowly.

Step 4  Practice the four words

u      Practice 1, show the pictures of other transports ( cars , buses , bicycles) to practice the four words . (Fill in the blacks)

Cars and buses are quick.         Cars and buses go quickly.

Bicycles are slow.                 Bicycles go slowly.

学生自己总结quick , quickly , slow , slowly 的用法。

u      Practice 2,

         Show some other pictures to practice. If someone does well , congratulations to the student.

     Pictures: rabbit , tortoise , Liu Xiang , man and child

Step 5  Play a game

Step 6  Learn the text.

      T：Now , I feel happy. Are you happy?

      Ss: Yes, I feel happy, too.

      T:  But how do Danny , Jenny and Li Ming feel? Now let’s listen and answer!

(先让学生读一下一会儿将要回答的问题， 让学生有目的的去听课文， 然后回答问题。)

Step 7  Sing a song. 《 Stop, look, listen ,think 》

根据课文内容 “ 在北京街道散步 ” ，Danny在过马路时的对话，让学生了解过繁华街道时应注意的事项，培养学生良好的行为习惯。
