He studies harder than he used to.

一、教材分析

本课教学内容选自人教版初中英语九年级第四单元Section B。本篇短文故事性强,学生乐于学习,但由于篇幅较长,词汇量大,对学生来说阅读起来有难度,所以本节课以任务型教学为主,任务设计由浅入深,层层递进,学生容易理解和掌握。

二、学情分析

九年级的学生通过两年的学习,已掌握了大量的语言信息,对英语的理解能力和表达能力都有所提高,但还要加强阅读技能的培养。我们农村的学生程度参差不齐,两极分化严重,所以我对目标进行了分层设计,以培养学生的自信心,激发学生的求知欲。

三、教学目标

(一)知识目标

  1、能熟练掌握词汇:seldom, influence, absent, fail, examination, in person, exactly, take pride in, be proud of等的用法

2、掌握重点句型:I used to do sth.

                         I didn’t use to do sth.

(二)能力目标

   通过学习,学生能够利用文章标题和图片信息进行预测并获取文章大意。能根据上下文语境推测黑体词或短语的含义;在细读文章时利用任务进一步理解故事发展,能根据故事的前后逻辑关系补全缺失信息,掌握关键词句。

(三)情感目标

  通过本节课的学习,唤起学生对留守儿童的关爱之心,懂得体会亲情的可贵,理解父母的责任,并能在成长的道路上注意心理的健康和成长。

四、教学思路设计

    本节课遵循任务型教学理念运用小组合作的形式,以教师为辅学生为主的教学原则,根据本节课内容,设计由浅入深,层层深入的任务,让学生在完成任务的过程中达到本节课所拟订的目标在小组学习中学生通过获取信息,处理信息和运用信息,学会自主学习,充分运用所学语言进行交流,促进合作精神。

五、教学重点难点

1训练学生利用上下文信息填写词汇和句子的能力。

2培养和提高学生的阅读和写作能力。

六、教法和学法

合作探究法:针对学生质疑的问题,组织学生进行小组讨论,使学生在学习中解决问题,培养学生的团结协作精神。

任务型教学法:新课标提倡任务型教学模式,让学生在教学活动中参与和完成真实的教学任务,从中体验学习的快乐,我采用了“任务--探究--合作”的教学方法。

学法:自主、合作、探究性的学习方式,最大限度地调动学生的积极性,发挥教师的指导作用,突出学生的主体地位。通过主动参与,勇于质疑来促进学生思维发展,培养学生的创新能力。

Step 1 .Lead in

We all have problems in our life. I used to be afraid of the examinations, what about you? Do you have problems in your life? Li Wen is a 15-year-old boy from the countryside. He also has his problems. Now he studies harder than he used to. What happened to him in the past?

【设计意图】通过带着问题去学习短文,从而达到导入新课的目的,同时也可以使学生积极反思自己的学习生活,与以前的生活作比较,科学安排好自己的学习时间。

Step 2 .First reading

Ask students to read the passage silently and quickly, then put the sentences[A-D] in the correct place.

【设计意图】根据上下文还原句子并猜测生词的意思。在还原句子时要加强对学生的学法指导,提升阅读技能。首先句子的意思与段落意思一致再看前后句。此外猜测生词的意思要关注上下文,都会看到句中对词汇意思的说明和解释。

Step 3.Second Reading

Read the passage again and complete the following tasks.

1.题判断正(T)误(F);   2.题完成句子;    3.题简略回答问题;

4.题在文中找出所给句子的同义句;            5.题翻译句子。

Step 5. Challenge!  (Read the passage and complete the following tasks.)

It is reported that 300 million people in China have eyesight(视力) trouble. More and more parents hope to save their children’s eyesight with medicine, or by correcting the ways that children read and sit. But in fact, one should start with the exercise on one’s feet. Here are three ways to save eyes:

First, don’t tie your shoes too tightly(紧地). Try wearing comfortable and soft socks or walking without socks and shoes at home. While you are traveling, try wearing cloth shoes in order to improve blood circulation(循环).

Second, walking on tiptoes(脚尖) is good for one’s eyesight. It can fight against eyesight trouble. Numbers show that most of ballet performers’ eyesight is better.

Third, rope skipping(跳绳) can also be good for one’s eyesight. While skipping rope, one has to move quickly, making both the brain and the eyes excited. It may also help one grow taller.

Besides foot exercises, it is good to pull one’s ears. Pulling the ears 20 times quickly is also a great way. It can keep one’s eyes healthy.

七、教学反思

   本节课我采用任务型教学手段,贯穿整体语言教学,设置由浅入深,层层深入的阅读任务,有效培养了学生的阅读能力。在阅读教学中,从词汇教学目标出发,把握词汇教学时机,采用词汇教学策略,主要体现在读前感知(词汇),读中领悟(词汇),读后运用(词汇)。充分体现词汇教学与阅读教学相辅相成,从而使学生正确理解和掌握词汇的意义和用法。
