二、教学资源分析：

本单元的中心话题是用比较级谈论同类事物的不同之处。本话题非常贴近学生的生活，课标要求学生掌握比较级的用法，并在日常生活中能够轻松自如的谈论。学好这一用法将对下一单元的最高级的用学习打下良好的基础。教师将对本单元的内容进行整合。让学生在大量的听说活动中掌握本单元的重点内容。

三、学情分析：

八年级的学生思维活跃，掌握了一定量的单词和句型，能够说一些简单的跟比较级相关的句型。但是表现欲较差。本单元贴近学生的实际，通过本单元的复习，要让80%的学生对英语的学习产生兴趣。

四、教学目标：

1.知识与技能：

95%的学生掌握下列词汇：more, than, taller, shorter, thinner, longer, heavier, calmer, wilder, quieter, funnier, smarter, more athletic, more popular, twin, both, be good at， in a friendship ，views and interests

98%的学生掌握形容词的比较级的变化规则及用法。

90%的学生能够灵活运用以下句型进行交谈。

I’m more outgoing than my sister.

He’s calmer than Sam.  

Tom is more athletic than Sam.

 Liu Ying is not as good at sports as her sister.

 Lin Ping is a little more outgoing than me/ I am.

 I am a little taller than her/ she is.

My friend is the same as me.

We are both quiet. My friend is different from me. I like to have friends who…….

I don’t really care.

2：过程与方法：通过小组活动、口述及各种形式的练习方式完成教学任务。

3：情感态度目标：

在大家的交流中分享自己的观点，学会倾听和有逻辑地表达。介绍朋友时要尊重朋友, 实事求是地评价朋友和自己, 珍惜培养朋友之间真实而美好的友谊。介绍家乡时应热爱家乡，从我做起。

五、教学重点:

形容词的比较级变化规则

六、教学难点：

能用S + be + adj.比较级+than+被比较对象结构描述不同人物的区别, 能用as + adj.原级+as 描述不同人物的相同处, 学会用both描述不同人物的相同处。

七、教学方法：

Speaking, talking in pairs，listening, group work

八、教学过程：

Step One: Warming up.

Step One: Warming up (热身)

Follow the teacher. (仿照老师说含有形容词比较级的句子)

Find a tall student and say “How tall you are!” Then ask how tall are you?

Tell the students :  “I am taller than she is / I am taller than her. But I am older than her.”

Next ask students to say a sentence one by one like this

设计意图：通过热身活动给学生创造一种轻松愉快的学习氛围。

Step Two: Pair work.

1 In your eyes? (你眼里的我？)

2 Are we the same?（咱们相同吗？）

3 Are we different? （咱们不同吗？）

两人一组展开活动，在卡片上写下一些描述你的外貌和性格的形容词，比较自己和对方相同和不同之处，然后用含有形容词比较级的句子描述出来。

设计意图：激发学生的好奇心，调动学生参与学习的积极性。

Step Three: PK Time! ( 拿手好戏)

出示潘长江和姚明的图片，尽可能多的用形容词比较级的句子比较二人的区别，让大家争抢回答。由于比较熟悉两个明星，学生应该比较积极。

Pan is …… than Yao.

Yao is …… than Pan.

They are both……

温馨小提示：Never judge a person by what he looks like.(不要以貌取人哟)

通过幻灯片的生动形象和明星的名人效应引发学生讨论的积极性。

Step Four: Summary (小结)

1 形容词比较级规则变化顺口溜 （牢记）

2 不规则变化特殊记

3  Enjoy speaking! (趁热打铁)

设计意图：顺口溜朗朗上口，让学生容易记住枯燥的变化规则。

Step Five: Two tasks: ( 我们的老朋友，你还记得吗？)

Task 1 : An interview ( Liu Ying and Liu Li )

Reporter: Hello, Liu Li. I am a reporter from our school TV station. May I ask you some questions?

Liu Li: Sure.

R: Could you please tell me sth about you and your twin sister?

L: Of course.

R: You look the same?

Compare our hometown. Zhengding and Shijiazhuang(小组合作，找出老师的家乡正定和你的家乡石家庄的区别, 然后组长汇报)

 To make our environment more and more beautiful, when you go to school or go somewhere else, you should walk, ride a bicycle or take a bus. Drive less. At the same time, it’s good for our health. OK! Let’s make a contribution to our hometown.

设计意图：第一：这种话题贴近生活，学生们有话可说，能让大多数的人参与进来，真正做到面向全体。第二：在活动中培养他们热爱家乡的良好品德。

Step Seven: Homework

1，记忆本节课的单词和句型。（基础复习，学习成绩中等偏下的学生必做）

2，Who is the best exchange student？

1) 假如班上要派一名交换生到美国学习。

2) 集体展开活动，讨论谁是最合适的人选。

3) 推荐汇集四名侯选人并陈述原因，四名侯选人为自己拉选票，通过讨论及选票结果选出交换生。
