二、教学资源分析:
本单元的中心话题是用比较级谈论同类事物的不同之处。本话题非常贴近学生的生活,课标要求学生掌握比较级的用法,并在日常生活中能够轻松自如的谈论。学好这一用法将对下一单元的最高级的用学习打下良好的基础。教师将对本单元的内容进行整合。让学生在大量的听说活动中掌握本单元的重点内容。
三、学情分析:
八年级的学生思维活跃,掌握了一定量的单词和句型,能够说一些简单的跟比较级相关的句型。但是表现欲较差。本单元贴近学生的实际,通过本单元的复习,要让80%的学生对英语的学习产生兴趣。
四、教学目标:
1.知识与技能:
95%的学生掌握下列词汇:more, than, taller, shorter, thinner, longer, heavier,
calmer, wilder, quieter, funnier, smarter, more athletic, more popular, twin,
both, be good at, in a friendship ,views
and interests
98%的学生掌握形容词的比较级的变化规则及用法。
90%的学生能够灵活运用以下句型进行交谈。

形容词的比较级变化规则
六、教学难点:
能用S + be + adj.比较级+than+被比较对象结构描述不同人物的区别, 能用as + adj.原级+as 描述不同人物的相同处, 学会用both描述不同人物的相同处。

Step One: Warming up.
Step One: Warming up (热身)
Follow the teacher. (仿照老师说含有形容词比较级的句子)
Find a tall student and say “How tall you are!” Then ask how tall are you?
Tell the students : “I am taller than she is / I am taller than her. But I am older than her.”
Next ask students to say a sentence one by one like this

设计意图:通过热身活动给学生创造一种轻松愉快的学习氛围。
Step Two: Pair work.
2 Are we the same?(咱们相同吗?)
3 Are we different? (咱们不同吗?)
两人一组展开活动,在卡片上写下一些描述你的外貌和性格的形容词,比较自己和对方相同和不同之处,然后用含有形容词比较级的句子描述出来。
设计意图:激发学生的好奇心,调动学生参与学习的积极性。
Step Three: PK Time! ( 拿手好戏)
出示潘长江和姚明的图片,尽可能多的用形容词比较级的句子比较二人的区别,让大家争抢回答。由于比较熟悉两个明星,学生应该比较积极。

温馨小提示:Never judge a person by what he looks like.(不要以貌取人哟)
通过幻灯片的生动形象和明星的名人效应引发学生讨论的积极性。

2,Who is the best exchange student?
1) 假如班上要派一名交换生到美国学习。
2) 集体展开活动,讨论谁是最合适的人选。
3) 推荐汇集四名侯选人并陈述原因,四名侯选人为自己拉选票,通过讨论及选票结果选出交换生。
